MILWAUKEE – On Thursday, April 23rd, leading craft brewers from across the United
States will convene at Milwaukee’s Lakefront Brewery to discuss industry trends, product plans, and
other issues with regional retailers. Over 20 craft breweries, represented by local distributor Beer
Capitol Distributing Co., are participating in the annual Milwaukee Beer Summit event which will also
feature a panel discussion moderated by DRAFT Magazine Publisher Evan Hughes. The panel will consist
of prominent members of the craft beer industry, including Russ Klisch of Lakefront Brewery and Scott
Whitley of 10th and Blake, discussing various topics.
Craft breweries from all over the country will take part in the Summit. The list of participants is
highlighted by some of the biggest craft brewing names in the nation, including Boston Beer Co. (Sam
Adams), Leinenkugel’s, Ballast Point, Great Lakes Brewing, Blue Moon Brewing Co. and Steven’s Point
Brewery. Other participating breweries include Small Town Brewing, Titletown, Bell’s Brewery, Alaskan
Brewing, Ballantine, Finch’s Brewing Co., Tommyknocker Brewery, Hopothesis, Horny Goat, Lake Louie,
Lakefront, Three Floyds, Tyranena, Wisconsin Brewing Co. and Island Orchard.
“This is a unique gathering of professionals from various sectors of the industry”, said Aldo Madrigrano,
Chairman and CEO of Beer Capitol. “The event provides a platform for these breweries, retailers, and
distributor to share insights on products and trends.”
The Beer Summit is an invitation-only event and will take place from 4-7 p.m.. Preceding the Beer
Summit, there will be a beer dinner on April 22nd, at Motor at the Harley-Davidson Museum that will be
open to the public. The dinner courses will be paired with various beers from the participating breweries
