From Fulton:
Five years ago, Mikey and Ryan brewed what later would become The Expat for the first time in Pete's garage. We hadn’t heard of anyone else making a saison featuring rye at the time, and we were a little concerned that a grain bill so heavy on rye--and wheat--was going to be a nightmare to lauter. It ended up working just fine in the brewhouse and even better in the glass. The hop bill consists of 3 generous additions of Sterling, whose spicy aroma converges beautifully with distinct rye character and the inimitable Wyeast 3711 French Saison yeast. There still aren't many rye saisons out there, but over the last two years, The Expat has become a fan favorite as our spring seasonal. We're extremely pleased to roll it out in 6 packs of 12 oz bottles for the first time ever this week.
