Bud Light MIXXTAIL & the IllMore #BringTheBar at SXSW in Austin

Bud Light MIXXTAIL was a presenting sponsor of the IllMore at this year’s SXSW in Austin, Texas. In its fifth year, the IllMore has gained an unparalleled reputation as the official late night after party during SXSW’s music portion with exclusive performances by marquee artists. Building upon its success each year, the party was one of the most talked about events of the week and featured sets by artists including Chance the Rapper, Fetty Wap, ATrak, Future, Rae Sremmurd, J-Cole, Bun B, Big Sean, Mike Will Made IT and many more.

The IllMore created the ultimate hangout at the Saint Elmo Soundstage with an indoor/outdoor set up, local food trucks, couches and picnic tables for lounging, games, a pop-up barbershop and an intimate performance area. The house party look and feel created the perfect drinking occasion for Bud Light MIXXTAIL.

The brand worked with local graffiti artists Kristin Freeman and Bradford Maxfield to create original MIXXTAIL artwork throughout the space, as well as a live mural of Biggie that the artists worked on throughout the event. On the last night, the artists unveiled the final product.

On Saturday during the day, Bud Light MIXXTAIL also hosted a pre-party backyard BBQ at the original IllMore house. Guests hung out on the lawn, sampled MIXXTAIL, played games and ate BBQ. Up and coming artists such as Uzi and Good Joon stopped by, as well as rapper YG.

Earlier in the week, the IllMore and Bud Light MIXXTAIL launched a mixtape in anticipation of the event, featuring artists who have performed in past years – check it out here.
