Upland Stoaked Coming 3/1 & Let’s Get Weird 2/13

We brought you a peek at this beer back in Jan, and now the official details from Upland:

A friend of the devil is a friend of mine…

That’s how we feel about our new Belgian style quadrupel, Stoaked. Aged on fresh oak this dark strong beer has aromas of ripe fruit and subtle vanilla notes to tempt you. It’s lusciously rich and dangerously drinkable. Trust us; you’ll want to give in.

Stoaked is a luscious Belgian style quadrupel that pours a deep amber hue with shades of copper and ruby. Alluring aromas of ripe fig, cherry and subtle spice and caramel pull you in. Maturing for months on oak, Stoaked reveals a profound vanilla character and malty sweetness, supported by a creamy mouthfeel. With a clean finish and a lingering sweetness, this beer is dangerously drinkable for a beverage of its strength.

ABV: 10% IBU: 25

Stoaked will be released on March 1st in 4 packs and on draught. It will be available on tap at Upland retail locations on March 6th.

New year, new beer. What happens when you blend a Belgian Golden Ale and an Oatmeal Milk Stout and a splash of black currants? It gets weird. But that’s ok…. we prefer weird.

Since our 2014 Side Trail Series was so successful we’ve decided to have another year of fun and funky releases. Our premier release for the 2015 Side Trail Series is Let’s Get Weird. This brew will be available on draught February 13th and on tap at Upland retail locations on February 27th.

Beer Description: The initial aroma provides hints of pear and apple with a light spiciness complimented by delicate, coffee, berry, and chocolate notes. The flavor is that of slightly sweet creamy chocolate and light roasted malt with background notes of fresh fruit and the pleasant, berry-like tartness of black currants.

ABV: 6%    IBU: 30
