Full Tilt Brewing will be releasing their newest offering and second collaborative effort, The Bay IPA, a Session IPA.

This beer launch event is two-fold.The first is a ticketed dinner cruise on the Spirit of Baltimore Cruise Ship sold as first come, first served (already sold out). The second is a combined after-party in the Federal Hill neighborhood bars, Ryleigh’s Oyster and No Way Jose in the Cross Street Market. This after-party is open to the public.

Full Tilt Brewing (FTB) is excited to announce their newest addition, “The Bay IPA,” a 4.5%, 55 IBU, Falconer’s Flight hop-blend driven, Session IPA. Their initial release to the ever growing craft beer market will take place on Saturday, February 21st aboard the Spirit of Baltimore Cruise Ship departing from Baltimore’s legendary Inner Harbor as part of their inaugural Baltimore Restaurant Week cruise. Tickets are no longer available due to high demand. Upon docking at the completion of the cruise, the celebration will spill over and continue as an open-to-the public after-party at Ryleigh’s Oyster and No Way Jose in the Cross Street Market of Federal Hill.

For the dinner cruise, several other FTB brews will be available in bottles all evening with the ship leaving at 6pm and the pouring / toast of The Bay IPA taking place immediately after launch. Dinner will be served as an all-you-can-eat buffet. Several other FTB craft beers will also be available on tap at both Ryleigh’s Oyster and No Way Jose all day with the tapping of The Bay IPA coinciding with return of the dinner cruise ship.

Per the description on the bottle label, “Full Tilt Brewing’s The Bay IPA was inspired by relaxing all-day boat trips on the iconic Chesapeake Bay. Just as this session IPA pairs with a sunny day on the bay with its crisp mouth-feel and citrusy hop presence, Full Tilt has partnered with the Chesapeake Bay Trust, to whom we will donate a portion of the proceeds for bay restoration. The Trust is best known for their unique blue and white Maryland license plates. Grab a sixer of The Bay IPA, find a friend with a boat, and ‘Treasure the Chesapeake’.”

This Session IPA was inspired initially by FTB owner, Dan’s, fascination with the iconic blue and white MD license plate. Upon delving further into the origin of the design FTB collaborated with the non-profit behind the scenes, The Chesapeake Bay Trust. A union between our two organizations was formed in the hopes that, together, we can help restore and preserve our cherished Chesapeake Bay for years to come. Whether fishing for stripers, pulling up a full crab pot, riding some wake, or just kicking back and letting the waves rock your thoughts to a blissful escape, the Chesapeake Bay offers something for everyone to enjoy. Help FTB help non-profits like these make sure we can continue to enjoy these simple pleasures of a clean, healthy, and happy Chesapeake Bay.
