Here’s your very first look at the 53rd release in the Harpoon 100 Barrel Series of beers. This is Braggot Rights (or A Humble Braggot) and it is the winning entry in the 2014 Harpoon Kettle Cup employee homebrew competition. This American Double IPA was created by Steve Theoharides and it uses Wildflower Honey as a “modern tribute to the medieval Braggot style.” Braggot Rights will be packaged in 22oz bottles and the beer will come in at 8% ABV and 40 IBU. It also looks like Harpoon is hedging their bets and getting a second name approved for this beer: A Humble Braggot. Stay tuned to see which name will be released.
