From Twisted Pine:
Boulder, Colorado – December 15th 2014 – Twisted Pine Brewing Company is wrapping up an eventful 2014 with a completely updated portfolio following the completion of a major rebranding effort, ongoing since June. This overhaul of the brewery’s offerings involves the introduction of new beers, the retirement of several long-standing options, the redesignation of its flagship ale, and a total packaging redesign; all of which has Twisted Pine in high spirits heading into the new year.
Early this summer, the veteran Boulder, Colorado brewery announced the coming changes with the launch of Hop Zealot IPA and subsequent reclassification of flagship beer Hoppy Boy as an American Pale Ale. In the months since, Twisted Pine has also introduced Agaveras (an IPA brewed with agave nectar) and La Petite Saison into a core lineup that has received a complete facelift with new labels and packaging designed by local firm Anthem Branding.
Appointed last November, Twisted Pine CEO Jean Lund believes the changes help solidify the progressive direction that the 19 year old craft brewery has long maintained.
“It all starts with quality,” proclaims Lund, “and ensuring that we’re taking advantage of every opportunity to enhance the caliber of our product and achieve consistency at that higher level.”
“The new labels attached to those beers,” she continues, “are meant to reflect the artistry and attention to detail that our team is investing into each batch we brew.”
Boulder-based Anthem Branding began working with Twisted Pine on conceptual development late last year, which led to a cohesive set of labels designed to capture the quirky, off-the-wall nature of a brewery known for pushing flavor boundaries with its beers. The vision paid off with Anthem recently claiming an award at the 2014 Art Directors Club of Denver’s annual show for “Best in 3D Design” based on the firm’s refresh of the Twisted lineup.
The recently finished label redesign of the brewery’s notorious palate-torcher Ghost Face Killah completes the update for Twisted Pine’s family of core beers, joining Hoppy Boy, Hop Zealot, Billy’s Chilies, La Petite Saison, Raspberry Wheat, Big Shot Espresso Stout and Agaveras on the year-round roster. Products withdrawn from the Twisted portfolio include the brewery’s American Amber, Honey Brown, Blonde Ale and Hoppy Knight.
