From Short’s Brewing:
As the last leaves fall and autumn wanes, we look forward to a blanket of crisp, clean snow to rejuvenate our well worn trails. The first snow itself is a monumental occasion each winter for people around the world, but the first snow to “stick,” or to stay on the ground for more than 24 hours, is the true mark of a change in seasons. Is winter here to stay?
Now that the snow is finally sticking on the shore of Elk Lake and on the pathways of Glacial Hills we’re ready to announce a new 12 pack, Snow Wheat (4.5% ABV, 15 IBU). A light, clean, easy drinking Hefeweizen, this beer is brewed with a grain bill of 50% malted wheat and a German weizen yeast strain. Immediately evident are the esters and flavors of bananas and cloves, with a clean finish.
It’s as if Mother Nature knew what we were up to, as the first flakes began to fall almost precisely in sync with Snow Wheat hitting shelves across the mitten state…
