PHILADELPHIA, PA – On Tuesday, December 9 from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m., Philly Beer Week (PBW) 2015 — slated to run from Friday, May 29 until Sunday, June 7 — will host their annual Win a Trip to Belgium Raffle at City Tap House Logan Square(2 Logan Square, 215-587-9040).  Guests will have an opportunity to select their favorite local brewer, ballot style, upon purchasing a raffle ticket.  Participating breweries will also be on hand to answer questions while showcasing some of their extra special beers.  One lucky winner will travel to Belgium with his or her favorite to help brew Philly Beer Week’s annual Belgo Collaboration beer, this year with Head Brewers Andre Janssens and Dries Janssens, from Brouwerij Hof ten Dormaal, a nearly 100% self-sustaining brewery located in Tildonk, Belgium.

Raffle tickets can be purchased for $5 apiece -- or you can buy a pack of five for $20 -- at the event or online before the event atPhillyBeerWeek.org starting on Friday, November 7.  Raffle tickets may also be purchased at the following PBW-friendly events and venues in the coming weeks.  Follow PBW on Twitter (@phillybeerweek) and Facebook, too, as more opportunities may be announced later.

“Our annual trip to Belgium -- amazingly now in its fifth year! -- is certainly one of the highlights of the offseason for us,”  says PBW Executive Director Kristine Kennedy.  “This year’s Belgo Collaboration is going to be even more extra special since half the batch will be on tap in June 2015, while the other half will be barrel-aged and released six months later.”

The PBW 2015 Collaborative Brew will be created in cooperation with Brouwerij Hof ten Dormaal and imported by Twelve Percent Imports, the raffle’s official sponsor.  The lucky raffle winner will select their brew partner from a distinguished list of local brewers, then accompany him or her on a whirlwind expedition to Brussels, Belgium in January 2015.  The package will include:  two roundtrip, coach class plane tickets and two nights of hotel accommodations (winner + brewer).  Winners will purchase tickets ahead of travel dates, with Twelve Percent Imports submitting reimbursements within 30 days after travel.

  1. Not sure whats more embarrassing for Philly, including contract breweries or this list as a whole. Remember when you could argue Philly as a top craft beer destinations? This list works against all that. Damn.
