Today I made the 50 minute journey from Shanghai to Changzhou to have a look for myself. My fears were realised, it was just another bottle bar; and worse still, though The Hoegaarden and Franziskaner signs are still there, the BrewDog one has gone. The bottle fridge (no draft) is full of the AB InBev owned German and Belgium beers that dominate the import market here. This is now Snail Bar. Welcome to the Snail Bar Revolution.
