We brought you a peek at this beer, and now the official release details from Victory:
DOWNINGTOWN, PA, October 2, 2014- Victory Brewing Company (Victory) announces Moving Parts 02, the second edition in the Moving Parts series. It is set to hit shelves mid-October. Codenamed MP02, the VBC brewers used all-English hops and English yeasts to create an intensely herbal hop aroma with a slight hint of cut apples at the first sip, followed by a mildly sweet, slightly bitter and dry finish. Through the creativity and ingenuity of Victory brewmasters, flavors and ingredients are adjusted, altered and processed within the same basic recipe to develop an endless array of nuanced profiles.
Victory created the Moving Parts series in honor of the craft brewing industry of which they have been a leader for nearly two decades. By understanding the complexities of beer and the brewing process, Victory has been able to continue to experiment and challenge themselves with new flavor recipes. Moving Parts 02 was a result of that innovative craving, featuring a slight haze on a light copper body. Its bright, hoppy flavor and crystal malts provide sharp, sweet notes against a pleasant, earthy, lingering bitterness. Moving Parts 02 will be sold in 22oz. bottles and on draft with an ABV of 7.1%.
Available at craft beer bars, bottle shops, beer distributors and major gourmet grocery stores including Whole Foods and Wegmans, throughout Victory’s 35 state distribution footprint. Moving Parts 02 suggested retail price for a 22 oz. bottle is approximately $4.99, but varies upon location. Use Victory’s Beerfinder to discover a nearby location, or download the free Victory Mobile app for Android or iPhone.
“We like to mix it up. New flavors, new ideas, new ingredients; we welcome them all. In celebration of our penchant for prolific experimentation, we present Moving Parts: The Ever-Evolving IPA. Each release in this series celebrates a tweaked ingredient or two, creating an endless array of possible flavor profiles,” said Victory’s President and Brewmaster, Bill Covaleski.
