From Heavy Seas:
In honor of International Talk Like A Pirate Day on September 19th, Heavy Seas simultaneously tapped casks at 6:00 pm sharp at 51 locations up and down the East Coast. This celebration set a record of most casks ever tapped at the same time. Cask beer is an old-fashioned way of presenting draft beer. For ITLAPD, Heavy Seas tapped casks of Loose Cannon with grapefruit, which is a first time release outside of the brewery.
The event took place at locations in Alabama, Georgia, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Virginia, and Washington, DC. Heavy Seas hopes to expand this celebration to even more locations in 2015 and continue to beat its simultaneous cask tapping record every year.
