Oct. 21, 2014 - CHICAGO -- Chicago, October 3, 2014: Brewed in Chicago today announced a crowdfunding campaign for the development of their new online game allowing anyone to brew a virtual beer. The reward for producing an appealing beer recipe is the chance to see it brewed by a real brewery. When the game is complete, it will be called Craft Your Beer. It can be accessed on brewedinchicago.com, where the company currently provides a directory of Chicago area breweries and the beer they produce. “We want this game to appeal to anyone that enjoys craft beer, regardless of their experience with the brewing process”, says Brian Busche, Founder and CTO of Brewed in Chicago. 
The company hopes that players of the game will compete with each other to gain the highest votes for their beer idea. A local brewery will produce the most popular beers from the game, in an effort to discover the best tasting recipe and deem it a winner. Empirical Brewery has already expressed an interest in collaborating with Brewed in Chicago on the first round of competition in this game.
"We’re very excited to work with Brian Busche, and Brewed in Chicago. In fact, the Empirical method involves taking customer feedback to really drive product development. And this is why Brewed in Chicago’s Craft Your Beer project is the perfect fit for what Empirical represents," said Sumit Mehta, co-founder at Empirical Brewery.
The Craft Your Beer game is currently being crowd-funded using an Indiegogo campaign athttps://www.indiegogo.com/projects/craft-your-beer-your-b.... Through crowdfunding, Brewed in Chicago not only hopes to raise the capital needed for game development, but is also seeking to identify game testers who will help review the design and functionality.
Headquartered in Chicago, IL, Brewed in Chicago is a startup working out of the 1871 tech incubator. Their web site offers a list of breweries, beers, bars, and events throughout the local Chicagoland market.
