Ballast Point Miramar Tasting Room Now Open

From Ballast Point:

There are many reasons people come to the Miramar area…you might work on base, or maybe you need some new furniture, or you could be shopping for some new wheels. Well now you’ve got one more reason to come: our new brewery and tasting room is open to the public!

We’ve been working on this brewery for a year and we’ve been brewing out of it for several months now, so we’re excited to finally show it off to the public.

The address is
9045 Carroll Way, and we’re open daily (M-Sa 11am to 11pm, Su 11am to 9pm) serving beers and offering tours of our brewery (tours at 12, 2, 4, and 6pm).

We are still building out our kitchen at Miramar, but Chef Colin and his team are working on a killer menu that includes many of your Little Italy favorites with some new additions. We’re hoping to open the restaurant portion by the end of the year, but until we do, we’ll have local food vendors out on our deck daily…check out the schedule below.

All told, our Miramar tasting room includes 78 taps in the bar, and we’re putting the finishing touches on an outdoor bar that will add 37 more, plus twelve growler fill taps in our new retail/to-go area.  Miramar? More like Beeramar!*

Let’s put it this way: this is just a little bit bigger than our beginnings in a small home brew shop on Linda Vista Road (speaking of which, stay tuned for news at
Home Brew Mart soon).
