T.W. Pitcher’s Snake Bits Expands California Distribution

imageWe brought you news of this lager/cider blend, and now they’re expanding distribution.  This from T.W. Pitchers:

San Francisco, CA, September 19, 2014 --Watch out for snakes crossing the Golden Gate Bridge. T.W. Pitchers’ Snake Bite has made its first foray out of the friendly confines of San Francisco and is now distributed in six additional northern California counties - in Marin, Sonoma, Mendocino, and Lake counties by Eagle Distributing Company and Contra Costa and Alameda counties by Bay Area Distributing.
Snake Bite is also now available at Whole Foods, BevMo, Mollies Stone's Markets, Oliver's, and Cost Plus World Market retail stores in the region.

“We’re excited to expand our reach with Snake Bite, and we believe we have grown our brand in San Francisco to the point where wider distribution is appropriate,” said Wilson Barr, co-founder of T.W. Pitchers. “This is an exciting time for us, and we’re thrilled to partner with Eagle Distributing and Bay Area Distributing to make Snake Bite available to new consumers in Northern California.”

Launched in the summer of 2013, Snake Bite is a refreshing blend of lager and crisp apple cider based on a popular British pub-mixed favorite. It's similar in taste to a traditional hard cider, but not as sweet. Upon drinking, full-bodied apples hit the pallet first, followed by subtle malt characteristics that provide a clean finish.

“Early response to Snake Bite has been extremely positive,” says Tommy Hester, co-founder with Barr. “And our expansion to the North and East is in response to strong feedback we’ve received from consumers in those regions. We’re looking forward to getting Snake Bite on the shelf in those areas.”

T.W. Pitchers’ Snake Bite is available in over 250 San Francisco Bay Area bars and retail stores at a suggested price of $7.49 / 4-pack (12 oz. bottles) and $4.49 / 22 oz. bottle. Snake Bite contains 5.1% alcohol by volume.
