Moosehead Breweries Appoints United States Beverage as US Beer Importer for Its Portfolio of Beers

SAINT JOHN, NB--September 25, 2014 - Andrew Oland, President and CEO of Moosehead Breweries Limited, of Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada, announced this morning the appointment of United States Beverage (USB) as the U.S. importer for the Moosehead portfolio which includes its Hop City craft brands. Recently, the Moosehead brands had been imported by the brewery's affiliate, Moosehead USA.

"Following a thorough review of our U.S. operations, and in light of the rapid changes and evolution taking place in the U.S. Beer market, we have decided to build the future of our brands with United States Beverage," said Mr. Oland. "USB has a long and successful history of building brands in the U.S. and our teams have worked successfully in the past on other significant projects. We believe this opportunity with USB will solidify and grow our portfolio in the important United States market," said Oland.

The transition from Moosehead USA to USB will take place November 1, 2014. At that time all responsibilities for sales, marketing and distribution will be handled by United States Beverage.
