Good Nature Brewing Releases The Great Chocolate Wreck

image
From Good Nature Brewing:

Every year, Good Nature Farm Brewery & Tap Room releases an imperial chocolate stout, brewed with cocoa nibs & cocoa powder, to commemorate the day, in September 1955, that a freight train carrying a load of Nestle chocolate derailed from the Ontario and Western Railroad in Hamilton just yards from the brewery.  This historic event was dubbed “The Great Chocolate Train Wreck,” and is celebrated annually in the village of Hamilton where Good Nature is located.   The Great Chocolate Wreck was officially released on 9/20 at the Great Chocolate Wreck Festival in Hamilton, but debuted in style at the Decadent Dinner at the Poolville Country Store in Hamilton.

This is the Wreck’s 3rd year in production, and is part of Good Nature’s Artist Series—A Series of specialty ales created by Master Brewer, Matt Whalen to showcase GNB’s commitment to quality, locally-inspired beers. Labels for these bottles are chosen from designs submitted by local artists.

This brew is available in 750ml bottles and on draft to enjoy by the glass or growler fill at the Good Nature Tap Room and in select bars, restaurants and store across Central and Northern NY State.
