We've got very happy news–our next Stone Groundbreaking Collaborations beer will be dreamed up in partnership with Surly Brewing Co., scrappy star of the Minnesota brewing scene. According to Surly, the sentiment behind the cantankerous name reflects not on the brewers' temperaments, but is rather "The anger fueled by the inability to find good beer." Fortunately, that problem's been eradicated for thousands of lucky Midwesterners, thanks to Surly's outstanding lineup of intensely flavorful brews.
Despite having been christened with names like Misanthrope, CynicAle, and just plain Hell these beers make you feel anything but curmudgeonly. And considering that until now getting a taste of Surly outside the Midwest was nigh impossible, this collaboration promises only joy and goodwill.
If you can wait a year or two without getting too disgruntled, your patience will be well rewarded. You can preorder a 1.5-liter bottle of belligerent deliciousness on our Stone Groundbreaking Collaborations page.
