Double Barrel Brewing To Become Eastwood Brewing After Firestone Walker Trademark DIspute

image
From Syracuse:

Owner-brewer Pete Kirkgasser made the change after hearing from the Firestone Walker Brewing Co. of California. That brewery, founded in 1996 in Paso Robles, has a trademark for a beer called Double Barrel Ale. Firestone Walker previously forced a brewery called Double Barrel in Cincinnati to change its name.

"We're in a transition now," Kirkgasser said. The new name is first appearing on new growlers (half-gallon to-go jugs). Kirkgasser will be changing the brewery's sign and ordering new T-shirts, too.
