From Brew At The Zoo:
WHAT: Don’t miss the Fifth Annual Brew at the Zoo! Brew at the Zoo is a beer tasting event that features stations hosted by local breweries and restaurants - as well as an opportunity to stroll amongst the animals at Franklin Park Zoo. This year is the first year that the entire Zoo will be open for the event! Sip some delicious brews and visit with western lowland gorillas, ring-tailed lemurs, ocelots, pygmy hippos, and other species in the Zoo’s Tropical Forest Pavilion, as well as giraffes, zebras, kangaroos and many other animals. Guests will also have the opportunity to visit Aussie Aviary, a seasonal free-flight exhibit featuring brightly-colored budgies!
Participating breweries include Abandoned Building Brewery, Allagash, Beer Works Brewery, Big Elm Brewing, Blue Hills Brewery, Blue Moon, Leinenkugel's, Boston Beer Company, Cambridge Brewing Company, Clown Shoes Beer, Downeast Cider House, Far From the Tree Cider, Green Flash Brewing Company, Harpoon Brewery, Hopsters, Long Trail Brewing Co., Lost Nation Brewery, Mayflower Brewing Company, Narragansett, Paper City Brewery, Peak Organic, Percival Beer Company, Portico Brewing Company, Pretty Things Beer & Ale Project, Rapscallion, Rising Tide Brewery, Smuttynose Brewing Company, Woodchuck Hard Cider and Woodstock Inn Brewery. Food and other beverages will be provided by Back Deck, Cedar's Mediterranean Foods, Inc., Cuisine En Locale, Daddy Jones Bar, Dick's Last Resort, KRAVE Jerky, Life Alive, Polar Beverages, Post 390, Ruth's Chris Steak House, Stephi’s in Southie, Simpson Spring, Taza Chocolate, The Biltmore Bar and Grille, The Melting Pot, Zesty Cookie Company and Utz. Music will be provided by DJ BK.
Given the popularity of Franklin Park Zoo, Brew at the Zoo promises to be the beer event in Boston that is not to be missed! Proceeds from Brew at the Zoo will support the operation and continued growth of Franklin Park Zoo, its education programs and conservation initiatives.
