From Speakeasy Ales & Lager:

Speakeasy Ales & Lagers is preparing to release two rare new beers at the brewery’s 17th Anniversary Celebration on Saturday, June 28th from 1-6 pm. In addition to the release of Blind Tiger and Syndicate No. 02, the annual bash will feature a host of elusive aged beers pulled from brewery’s Vault, unlimited beer tasting, food from local restaurants, and a Monster live music stage.

The second release of Speakeasy’s growing Syndicate Series barrel program will again be a unique blend of big beers—imperial stouts, barley wines and other strong ales—aged in American spirits barrels for up to 1-2 years. Production will be limited to 600 cases, and the wax-dipped 22 oz bottles of Syndicate No. 02 will be available to purchase at the brewery on a first come, first served basis. The limited blend will also find it’s way to a handful of retailers in all markets Speakeasy is sold.

The next release in the Infamous Series will be the brewery’s anniversary Imperial IPA, Blind Tiger, which will be bottled for the first time this year. “It’s easily is the hoppiest beer we’ve ever brewed,” says Brewmaster Kushal Hall, “We created a massively aromatic blend of hops that will deliver resinous citrus fruit flavors, and cranked the bitterness to 11 with well over 100 IBUs.” With an absurd addition of over 10 pounds of hops per barrel—including Citra, Simcoe, Amarillo and Centennial—and clocking in at over 9% ABV, the brewery is encouraging its fans to grab it while it’s fresh, ideally within 30 days of being bottled.

Speakeasy’s 17th Anniversary Celebration will benefit SF Made and the organization’s efforts in supporting local manufacturing in San Francisco. For more details and tickets, visit Speakeasy’s website at www.goodbeer.com.
