Grind Modern Burger To Add new Brewery

From Post Modern Brewers:

Boise, ID —  Grind Modern Burger, the new tenant in the former TableRock Brewpub space at 705 W Fulton St. Boise, ID. has announced their plans for the existing brewery.  After 23 years of continued operation, Boise’s oldest brewpub went silent but the new owners have big plans for the space.

Partner, Rick Boyd says “branding the new brewery Post Modern Brewers suggests our take on the current state of craft beer, and where it’s going.”  He added “we wanted try a slightly different approach with our beers, not just to set ourselves apart but also to see if we could create a bridge between those that have already embraced craft beer and those that may not have warmed to it just yet.”  Very food friendly styles, plus thoughtful and creative approaches to serving are expected to establish Grind Modern Burger and Post Modern Brewers as very unique additions to Boise’s beer culture.

At the helm of the brewery will be long time fixture on the Boise beer scene, Marvin Kinney.  Marvin comes to Post Modern Brewers from long stints at Valley craft beer hot spots, The Front Door, and Brewforia Beer Market.  An award winning home brewer, Kinney will be developing a full line up of featured beers as well as seasonal specialties for release at Grind Modern Burger.  The slate of beers will include new recipes for an IPA and American Pale Ale, some reformulated favorites from TableRock’s glory days like a Nut Brown and the popular Hopzilla as a fresh hop beer.  There will also be some surprising departures from the typical beers being produced in the region.

Post Modern Brewers plans to focus on producing beers exclusively for Grind Modern Burger and may explore contract brewing for other local and regional breweries if capacity permits.  Grind Modern Burger plans to open in late August, 2014.
