From Chuckanut:

Chuckanut Brewery & Kitchen in Bellingham was recently awarded three medals at the Washington Beer Awards competition this past weekend at the WA Brewers Festival in Marymoor Park, Redmond.  Chuckanut Koslch won Gold, Chuckanut Yellow Card Golden Ale was awarded Gold, and Vienna Lager won Bronze.

The Washington Beer Awards is a craft beer competition designed specifically to support Washington’s professional brewers. More than 450 beers were entered in the competition by 75 Washington breweries. All beers entered must have been both brewed and made commercially available in the state of Washington. Entries were evaluated in a blind format using the Brewers Association Style Guidelines by panels of trained beer judges who awarded gold, silver, and bronze medals for each category.

Chuckanut Kolsch is a light, effervescent German ale known for its thirst quenching taste and always delicious with light seafood and salads. Chuckanut Yellow Card is a golden ale that was created as a ballpark beer to drink while watching our Bellingham United Soccer club. Always great with ballpark foods Yellow Card is good anywhere and anytime of the day. Chuckanut’s Vienna Lager has won numerous national awards for its true-to-style amber lager beer style. A toasty, malty character balanced with a subtle hop presence, Vienna is great with mac n cheese, bugers, and sausages!
