Mother’s Brewing

has released their summer seasonal offering, Sandy, a hopped up wheat. Sandy pays tribute to the mother of founder Jeff Schrag, for whom the beer is named for.

This unfiltered, hopped up wheat beer combines the spirit of a Belgian witbier with the soul of an American Pale Ale. The malt bill of the witbeir and the hop character of the pale ale along with a touch of grapefruit zest all fuse together to create a light bodied beer that is surprisingly complex, yet refreshingly crisp.

“We mixed up some hops and added some new varieties this year to really make the beer perfect for summer,” says Jeremy Wicks, Director of Sales and Marketing. “It’s got a ton of flavor and the grapefruit zest adds a nice refreshing complexity. It’s a great summer beer.”

Sandy is currently available in both draft and 6 packs in the Mother’s Tasting Room. It has begun hitting shelves in the Springfield market today and will be widely available throughout the Queen City at the end of the week. All other markets will follow shortly after. Sandy will available throughout summer and into the early fall while supplies last.

Mother’s Brewing Company is an independent craft brewery located in Springfield, Missouri. The company’s beers are currently available in bars, restaurants, grocery and liquor stores throughout most of MO, Northwest AR and Kansas City, KS.
