From Lift Bridge:

(STILLWATER, MINN.)Lift Bridge Brewing Company, Stillwater’s first Craft Brewery since Prohibition, is helping Minnesotans escape to better times this summer with its new Getaway Pilsner. This seasonal brew uses golden malts, noble Saaz hops and lager yeast to create a refreshing pilsner with assertive character. Getaway Pilsner is available in four-packs of 16 oz. cans as well as on draft at select restaurants and liquor stores across the Midwest. In honor if its launch, release events for Getaway Pilsner will take place across the metro and can be found on the Lift Bridge Facebook page.

The retro Getaway Pilsner can pays homage to Minnesota’s classic summer staples including a lake-side campsite, 1950s era station wagon, fishing pole, map, golden retriever and more.

“Getaway Pilsner is a nod to our Eastern European forefathers,” says Dan Schwarz, CEO and Co-Owner of Lift Bridge Brewing Company. “This is the perfect beer to enjoy while you’re physically getting away this season or if you just need to take a break from the everyday.”

Getaway Pilsner was created by Lift Bridge Brewing Company in 2014. The brew recalls simpler times and is highly refreshing whether life has you paddling upstream or floating down. The beer’s alcohol by volume (ABV) is 5.2% and its International Bitterness Unit (IBU) is 30. Standard Reference Method (SRM) for Getaway is 5.

The Lift Bridge taproom is located at 1900 Tower Drive, Stillwater, Minn. and provides a relaxing atmosphere for beer drinkers looking to experience craft beer right from the source. The taproom often houses limited release and experimental brews unavailable anywhere else. Visit the Lift Bridge website for taproom hours and to find out what’s on tap.
