April 1, 2014- Upland Brewing Company announced today Vinyl Tap Rye Pale Ale, a beer made in honor of Record Store Day, will be ready for draft release in mid-April. Upland has partnered with Landlocked Music to donate 10% of sales from Vinyl tap in Bloomington to Lotus Blossoms Education and Arts Foundation, and with LUNA Music to donate 10% of sales from Vinyl Tap in Indianapolis to Second Helpings, a local food rescue organization. This draft-only beer will be on tap at all Upland locations on Friday April 11th and at select bars and restaurants across Indiana, Ohio, Wisconsin, and Chicago in the following weeks. It will also be available at Landlocked and LUNA on Record Store Day, April 19th, for customers to enjoy while browsing the vinyl and CD releases that are made exclusively for independent record stores to offer on this day.
Record Store Day was conceived in 2007 as a way to pay tribute to the thousands of independent record stores in the US and abroad, and the beautiful and unique culture that surrounds them. Vinyl Tap Rye Pale Ale is a celebration of that culture. It is a clean, drinkable beer that anyone can enjoy, and the citrusy hops and biscuity malt characters will delight your taste buds while your favorite record delights your soul.
