Craft beer lovers, prepare for takeoff. World of Beer (WOB),a rapidly-expanding network of beer-centric taverns known for over 500 craft brews from around the world, craft spirits and Tavern Fare, is giving customers the opportunity to win the ultimate beer lover’s getaway. World of Beer is partnering with Craft Brew Alliance (CBA) for a new program through which loyalty members enter for the chance to win a trip to the Oregon Brewers Festival. The program will run March 24 – April 20, 2014. Winners will be announced on April 29, 2014.
“We are excited to be partnering with Craft Brew Alliance, who represents three of the pioneering craft beer brands,” said WOB Director of Brewer & Distributor Relations Marc Sawyer. “Portland is arguably the craft beer capital of the United States, so attending the Oregon Brewers Festival and brewing at Widmer Brewing is going to be a once in a lifetime opportunity. We can’t wait to reward one of our loyal customers with such an incredible experience.”
To take part in this free contest, customers must first be a WOB Loyalty Club member. After signing up to receive a Craft Brew Alliance game piece, customers are invited to try eight different beers, each of which will earn them a stamp on their game piece. Upon completion of these eight beers, the customer can turn in their stamped game piece to enter the drawing for a chance to win a trip to the 27th Annual Oregon Brewers Festival July 23 – 27, 2014 in Portland, Oregon.
“Creating a unique opportunity for consumers to experience new beers and new beer styles from a variety of breweries is what led Kurt and me to help co-found the Oregon Brewer’s Festival nearly three decades ago,” said Rob Widmer of Widmer Brothers Brewing Co., which celebrates its 30th anniversary this year. “This festival is the quintessential celebration of craft beer and has grown to become the largest craft beer festival in Oregon. We can think of no better reward for a craft beer lover than to come and join us for the festival in July and enjoy some of the best craft beers the world has to offer.”
The Craft Brew Alliance line-up of craft beers includes several draft and bottle options. On draft will be the Kona Longboard and Widmer Upheaval. Available in bottle will be the Kona Big Wave, Redhook Longhammer, Redhook Audible, Widmer Hefeweizen, Widmer Alchemy and Omission Pale Ale.
