Athens, GA- March 5, 2014

Terrapin Beer Co. greets steadily rising temperatures with two early spring seasonal releases. Hopzilla Double IPA returns as the first Monster Beer Tour beer of 2014, and Full of Balarney Dry Irish Stout makes a comeback as a draft-only Special Release just in time for St. Patrick's Day!

Hopzilla Double IPA

has started ravaging shelves just this past week. This big double IPA has gotten a lot of attention over the last two years, but not only because this beer really is a hop lover's dream come true. Many say it's the 100% Maris Otter malt that really steals the show. Drinkability is high with this supremely balanced brew, though it still packs a punch for even the most discerning Hophead. At 110 IBU and 10.3% ABV, this monster will soon be destroying palates from Athens to Tokyo!

Malts: Maris Otter

Hops: Bravo, Chinook, Centennial, Citra (dry hop)

ABV: 10.3%

IBU: 110

OG: 22

Hopzilla will be available in 4-packs of 12 oz. bottles and 1/6 BBL kegs throughout Terrapin's distribution network.

Returning for the second year is draft-only Special Release

Full of Balarney, a dry Irish Stout that's perfect for quaffing with your corned beef and cabbage.

Full of Balarney Irish Stout, Terrapin's first

nitrogenated beer, hearkens to the traditional stouts of the Emerald Isle with its deep ebony hue, big roasty aroma, and clean, dry finish. Flaked barley and roasted malt give this dark, but light-bodied, brew a silky-smooth mouthfeel.

Malts: East Kent Golding

Hops: 2-Row Pale, DH Carafa III, Roasted & Flaked Barley

ABV: 4.2%

IBU: 30

OG: 10.1

Full of Balarney will be available on draft only in select areas of Terrapin's distribution network.
