From Sonoma Cider:
Healdsburg, CA – Sonoma Cider is proud to announce its distribution expansion into Georgia and Washington State and additional agreements in California. Contracts were recently signed with Foothill Distributing (serving the following counties: Siskiyou, Shasta, Tehama, Butte, and Trinity), V. Santoni & Company (Yolo), Matagrano (San Francisco and San Mateo), North California Distributing (Sierra, Yuba, Placer, El Dorado and Alpine) and Bay Area Distributing (Alameda and Contra Costa) in California; Savannah Distributing in Georgia; Imperial Beverage in Michigan; and Maletis Beverage in Southwest Washington State.
With these agreements, Sonoma Cider has secured 15 distribution partners in 10 domestic markets since it launched in November 2013. Noted spirits expert, Henry Preiss, founder of Preiss Imports and HPS Epicurean, has joined the Sonoma Cider board.
Sonoma Ciders are certified USDA organic, made with all-natural, gluten-free ingredients and distinctive proprietary flavors. The Hatchet blends sweet and tart apple varietals to ideal effect. The Pitchfork is apple based, infused with essence of pear. And the Anvil spikes apple cider with a measure of barrel-proof bourbon flavor.
Sonoma Cider is co-founded by 20-year wine and cider veteran, David Cordtz, CEO and Cidermaster; his son, Robert Cordtz, VP of Operations; and craft beverage guru Fred Einstein, VP of Sales. According to Fred Einstein, “Our goal is to craft intriguing ciders that will attract new consumers to the category, and we are expanding our market coverage at a rapid pace. We are pleased to see the growing interest in Sonoma Cider and the impressive overall growth in the hard cider category.”
Meet David and Fred this week as they preview Sonoma Ciders at the Natural Products Expo West in Anaheim, California. Sonoma Cider is also distributed by Louis Glunz Beers in Illinois; Cavalier in Indiana, Ohio and Florida; Melitas Beverage in Oregon; and Beer House Distributing in Kentucky. In Northern California, Eagle Distributing covers Sonoma, Mendocino, Lake, and Marin counties, and North Coast Mercantile covers Humboldt and Der Norte counties.
