From Short’s:
“Now quit stallin’ and start roastin’!” Yes sir old Sammy boy! After our brewers got their gears a turnin’, they brewed up a pale ale that was so well received at the brewpub that we decided it was time to bottle it up. Yosemite Scooter is now on shelves (beginning 3/24).
Yosemite Scooter (5.5% ABV, 65 IBU), is the second pale ale of our 2014 pale ale rotating series. It is a lighter bodied American Pale Ale with a dirty blonde color and delightful aromas of bright zesty orange, mango, and rich sticky hops. Excellent hop flavors of citrus fruit and berries blast across the palate, along with a mild earthiness. This earthiness is succeeded by a moderate bitterness in the finish.
The pale ale’s cartoon-like, crafty label is a tribute to Short’s Partner, Scott Newman-Bale. When Short’s was still young, Scott’s pistol shootin’ purchasing days of making things happen and pushing projects through like it was the wild wild west contributed greatly to Short’s growth and success. Yeeehawwww!
