Knoxville, Iowa (January 6th, 2014) — Peace Tree Brewing Company is set to bring back their limited release Double IPA, called “Hop Sutra” in late January, 2014.
Hop Sutra is a Belgo-American style Double IPA, brewed with over 2-1/2 times the hops and 1-1/2 times the malt as their flagship India Pale Ale, Hop Wrangler. Four types of hops are added in six massive additions and a Belgian yeast is used in fermentation to round out this bold beer.
Hop Sutra is approximately 9% ABV and will begin hitting shelves in Iowa by January 20th, 2014.
This brew – which was first packaged in 2010 as a Brewer’s Special Release Series, called simply “Double I.P.A.” – was given an official rating of 94 by Beer Advocate and an overall rating of 96 by Rate Beer. This is the first time since February 2013 that Hop Sutra has been packaged for retail sale.
