We brought you news of this beer back in Oct, and now this from Ithaca:

ITHACA, NY – Ithaca Beer will release their Excelsior! Series Anniversary Sixteen Ale Brewed With Honey on December 4, 2013.  Brewed with local wildflower honey, Sixteen is a Belgian inspired farmhouse ale so dark as night yet beaming with rich flavors.

To celebrate, the Taproom at Ithaca Beer will host a happy hour from 4:00PM -6:00PM on Wednesday, December 4th featuring complimentary appetizer and gourmet snacks concocted in house to pair perfectly with Sixteen’s mysterious and complex flavor. Menu specials for Taproom dining also designed to highlight Sixteen.

Ithaca Beer will continue the celebration with a Sixteen Tasting at the Ithaca Coffee Company and Sixteen Pint Night at the Ithaca Ale House on December 5th.  Check ithacabeer.com for time and location.

As per tradition, Ithaca Beer releases its Excelsior! Anniversary beer one year in advance of the anniversary itself.  December 4th marks 15 years of brewing at Ithaca Beer.

imageOver the last 15 years, Ithaca Beer has grown from a very small microbrewery with only local delivery to a 20,000-barrel(and growing) brewery distributing beer all over New York, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Ohio, Rhode Island, Connecticut and very soon, District of Columbia and parts of Virginia and Maryland.  In October 2012, Ithaca Beer opened doors to a brand new brewery, Taproom and beer garden.  More expansion in is the works for early 2014, when Ithaca Beer plans to increase fermentation capacity upward 75%.
