BOONE, N.C. — Appalachian Mountain Brewery (“AMB”), is pleased to announce, effective immediately, it has closed the acquisition of North Carolina Natural Energy, Inc, (OTC:NCNE), a publicly traded Florida Corporation. Appalachian Mountain Brewery will continue to trade under (OTC:NCNE) until its name and symbol change become effective. Final terms and conditions of the $3,500,000 stock transaction have been completed.

Appalachian Mountain Brewery becoming a publicly traded craft brewery has created an overwhelming positive response from the community it serves as well as industry professionals. Sean Spiegelman, CEO states, “Going public is a strategic move for Appalachian Mountain Brewery to enter into a capital raise to facilitate production of locally made North Carolina Hard Cider, continued expansion of its craft beer lines, adding Barrel Aged Sour Beers, and increasing capacity for canning and bottling to meet the growing demand of its award-winning craft beer.” The recent Jobs Act allows Appalachian Mountain Brewery to offer its shares to qualified investors to participate in the planned expansion adding a second location in Boone, NC. The company is currently evaluating multiple locations which will house a live music venue, restaurant, tap room, and full-scale cannery. AMB is preparing for increased production of its craft beverage line and planned distribution, including restaurants owned and operated by Chanticleer Holdings (Nasdaq:HOTR). One of AMB’s shareholders, Chanticleer Holdings CEO, Mike Pruitt states, “Appalachian Mountain Brewery can now take advantage of funding opportunities in the public markets to expand its operation and brand of craft beers. We look forward to seeing AMB grow in a multi-billion dollar market.”

Appalachian Mountain Brewery was invited and completed its registration into the world’s most prestigious beer competition held every two years called the World Beer Cup 2014 in Denver, CO April 7th and 8th. Appalachian Mountain Brewery is proud to be located adjacent to Appalachian State University which has been a dominant force in the Southern Conference for more than 40 years. On July 1, 2014, the university will move to the Sun Belt Conference — one of 10 conferences that are members of the Division 1 Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS). As a community driven entertainment venue, Appalachian Mountain Brewery will see increased benefit as more and more dedicated fans pour into Boone, NC to cheer on ASU. Other large food and beverage chains are moving into the area preparing for the university’s move up into Division 1 football.

“I am proud to be a part of this exciting transition for our company as we move into canning, distribution and additional product lines. Brewing is my life and I am fortunate to live out my dream every day,” stated Appalachian State alumni, Nathan Kelischek, Director of Brewing Operations and Brewmaster.
