Have a New Belgium Accumulation IPA & Win a Colorado Ski Trip

From New Belgium:

Summer's leaves are lying limp on the ground, nightly low-temperatures are dipping into frosty territory and the heavy flakes typical of early-season snow have already fallen. What does it all mean? Well, for one, winter is nigh. Second, it's time to grab an Accumulation.

Cuddle up next to a fire, because I'm going to tell you why New Belgium's winter seasonal will warm your insides after splitting the season's first cord of wood — and how doing things you already do, like going to New Belgium's web site — can earn you an all-inclusive ski trip to Colorado.

Our new winter seasonal is unlike any before it. Gone is the dark, heavy-style brew. This year we opted for something a tad lighter, a tad brighter and much, much more bitter.

Accumulation, a white IPA, is brewed with Target and Centennial hops, then dry hopped with Mosaic and Amarillo. Its IBU (International Bitterness Unit) rating of 70 puts it right on par with our very own Ranger. What sets Accumulation apart from its equally-bitter sibling, though, is its creamy, refreshing notes typical of a wheat beer.

Sounds like a best-of-both-worlds sort of thing, right? We certainly think so.

The name Accumulation is a tribute to the heavy snowfalls we expect every winter here in Colorado. They probably wouldn't excite us save for one thing: skiing.

Residents of Colorado are all about hitting the slopes, and New Belgium coworkers are no exception. That's why we want to share the majesty of the Rocky Mountains with a New Belgium beer-drinker.

It took us a while to figure out how to share the snow-capped mountains — you can't mail them, a picture never does nature justice and Snapchat doesn't cut it when it comes to snow. So we decided to give away an all-inclusive Colorado ski trip.

Head over to the Accumulate Hops contest page to sign up, then check out the contest's details page to find out how you can best increase your chances of gliding down Colorado's slopes this winter; you can up your odds of winning by downloading the New Belgium Beer Mode App, signing up for New Belgium's email list, sharing the Accumulation Beer Detail page, or by doing a whole host of other cool Internet-related stuff.

So pick up some Accumulation and discover what the holiday season tastes like, then get to work on winning a Colorado ski trip. If all goes well, I'll see you out on the slopes in no time.
