The hopeful brewery-to-be got its unofficial start about a decade ago at 902 Washington Street when Colby Janisch and Tucker Littleton — friends at the University of Delaware turned roommates in Hoboken — began experimenting with beer recipes in their apartment. The endeavor began to take real shape in August 2012 when the pair, and another friend, Andrew Brown, formed an LLC, whose name pays homage to the apartment where the company got its start.
Brewing started as a hobby on Saturdays, but now the trio have three "perfected recipes" and are ready to take the company to the next level, Brown said. The three launched a Kickstarter on Saturday to raise $35,000 for equipment and to provide an avenue for local donors to pledge whatever amount they are able to contribute.
