Widmer Brothers Celebrate Glen Hay Falconer w/New Beer

image
From Widmer Brothers:

Glen Hay Falconer was passionate about friends, family, and great IPAs. In tribute to this legend of the Oregon craft beer movement who left us too soon, we’ve created an IPA worthy of the master brewer, which we’ve dubbed Falconer’s IPA.

We believe Glen would have approved of this hop-forward IPA. Two hop unique blends were used in the boil: our proprietary Alchemy hop blend for bittering, and Glen’s namesake Falconer’s Flight from HopUnion for aroma.

The result is Falconer’s IPA:, a bright, moderately bitter IPA with stone fruit aromas and a strong malt backbone.

We are pleased to brew this beer in Glen’s honor, and happy to donate the proceeds of Falconer’s IPA to the Glen Hay Falconer Foundation, which provides scholarships for professional and aspiring brewers. Additionally, Widmer Brothers is making a separate donation specifically for two extra scholarships in the coming year.

Find out more about Glen Falconer, and his legacy foundation, at www.glenfalconerfoundation.org.

You can find Falconer’s IPA in 22s and on-draught at select stores, bars, and restaurants in the Pacific Northwest.

We raise our pints and say, “Prost,” to this great man, and a worthy cause.
