Saint Arnold Fresh Hop 2013 Just Kegged

imageFrom Saint Arnold:

When the hops are harvested, there is a 48 hour period when they can be used fresh in the brewing process. This year, we had 420 lbs of fresh Citra hops air-shipped to us. We used that 420 lbs to make 67 bbls of Fresh Hop 2013 Ale. Brewer Casey came up with a recipe that is balanced while showcasing the hops. This beer leans more toward the West Coast India Pale Ale, while the fresh hops create a slightly softer bitter than dried hops do. This beer is not filtered.

Fresh Hop 2013 will be going on tap over the next few weeks in select accounts. We did not bottle any. Watch Twitter and Facebook for announcements about where you can find it.

October is here, and that means just one thing for beer lovers: Pumpkinator. Our imperial pumpkin stout is ready to make its annual appearance on shelves and in bars around town starting Monday, October 14.

Pumpkinator is our answer to how a pumpkin beer ought to taste. It's brewed to make you feel like you just walked into your mom's kitchen while she was cooking 37 pumpkin pies. Maybe even 38.

Though the official release date is Monday, October 14, some stores may not receive it until a couple of days later. A limited number of kegs are also being released, but many pubs will hold onto their kegs to tap them at a later date. Keep an eye on our Facebook and Twitter feeds to find about about these events. You can also search Twitter for #Pumpkinator to get the skinny on which stores have received their delivery.

Pumpkinator is bottled in 22 oz bottles. While we brew more every year, we suggest you move quickly to get your stash. Take the day off work - you deserve it.
