Great Saint Arnold news:

Chipotle Mexican Grill (NYSE:

Chipotle Mexican Grill will continue its commitment to local sourcing and vendors through a partnership with famous Houston brewery, Saint Arnold Brewing. On Nov. 6, Chipotle will begin serving the brewery’s most popular beer, Saint Arnold Fancy Lawnmower Beer, at all 30 Houston-area Chipotle locations.

“This partnership marks an important stride in Chipotle’s industry-leading local sourcing initiative,” said Chipotle Marketing Strategist Amy Kugali. “Saint Arnold was the perfect choice for our Houston Chipotle locations because it’s beloved in this area and it’s a great beer to enjoy with a burrito, tacos, salad or a bowl.”

Saint Arnold is the oldest craft brewery in the state, and the choice to team up with the brewery was a natural one because of the similar philosophies shared between the two companies.

“Like Chipotle, Saint Arnold is committed to sourcing the very best ingredients and working closely with farmers,” said Saint Arnold founder/Brewer Brock Wagner, who spent last week traveling from farm to farm throughout Europe selecting hops. “We share Chipotle’s vision of ‘Food With Integrity,’ brewing Saint Arnold Fancy Lawnmower Beer with no additives or preservatives – just using malt, hops, yeast and water. In order to maintain the freshest flavor possible, we do not pasteurize our beer. Many of its subtle flavors are delicate and would not stand up to the heat of pasteurization.”

To honor the partnership, Chipotle Culinary Manager Ryan Hart created a specialty burrito, made with chicken or steak with white rice, fajita vegetables, tomatillo-green chili salsa, sour cream and lettuce, which perfectly complements the crisp yet sweet taste of the German-style Kölsch beer.
