If you had any plans to spend Nov 2nd in the city of brotherly love, you may want to change your plans.  Looks like the Epic Beer Festival Philadelphia has been cancelled.  Details from their web site:

Epic Beer Festival Philadelphia 2013 Cancellation Announcement

It is with great disappointment that we announce the cancellation of Epic Beer Festival Philadelphia 2013, which was to have taken place this November 2nd.

For multiple reasons, ticket sales are extremely slow for this festival and are on a trajectory to sell fewer than what is needed to avoid a loss of money.  As a fundraiser event, losing money is simply not an option.

Therefore, while no one is more disappointed that the EBF crew, we have had to make the difficult and unfortunate decision to cancel the event.  Doing so with three weeks still left to go, provides everyone involved with plenty of time to make alternate plans and being respectful of everyone’s time and efforts is of the utmost importance for us.

Thanks for your understanding and our apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.  We simply feel it is in the best interest of everyone involved to make this decision as early as possible.

Thanks again,
Patrick Brown
