We’ve been really excited to report on mybeerbuzz and the Friday BeerBuzz that our pal Mark Braunwarth at Marley’s Brewery & Grill won a GABF Bronze Medal for his Pack Dog Peanut Butter Ale.  This is a beer we’ve sampled on the Friday BeerBuzz and I beer I actually shared with Mark right before the GABF competition so I’m excited to share the official press release from Paul Shaw @ Marley’s:

Local Brewery Wins National Award!

Marley's Brewery and Grille in Bloomsburg, PA wins the Bronze Medal in the Specialty Ale Category at the 2013 Great American Beer Festival® with their Pack Dog Peanut Butter Ale!

Marley's Brewery and Grille won the Bronze Medal in the Specialty Ale Category at the 2013 Great American Beer Festival (GABF) competition. Presented by the Brewers Association, GABF is the largest national beer competition that recognizes the most outstanding beers produced in the United States. The top three winners in the competition’s 84 beer-style categories were announced October 13 at the Great American Beer Festival awards ceremony held at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver, Colorado.

In just under 3 years of business, Marley's Brewery and Grille has quickly become known for not only it's great food but it's wide variety of craft beers brewed on location. Pack Dog Peanut Butter Ale, Marley's most famous beer is the creation of Brewmaster, Mark Braunwarth. “I'm just really excited to have won an award. It's nice to be nationally recognized for something so new and different.” says Mark.

“It's amazing to think that a small local restaurant and brewery in Northeast, Pa could go up against the some of the biggest names in brewing and win a national award. We couldn't be more proud of our Brewmaster Mark and our Pack Dog Peanut Butter Ale, says Tiffany Kelly, owner of Marley's Brewery and Grille.
