From Hardywood Park Craft Brewery:
This November, through its partnership with Brown Distributing, Hardywood Park Craft Brewery will introduce its portfolio of beers to select restaurants and stores in northern Virginia.
Jacob Brunow, head of the Craft and Import Department at Brown says “we are ecstatic about representing our hometown beer in new markets,” adding “to us, Hardywood is the epitome of Richmond’s amazing beer culture, and like any beer that invokes excitement, we can’t wait to share Hardywood’s portfolio with the rest of the beer lovers in Virginia.”
Brown’s strategy, which earned it the 2012 Craft Beer Distributor of the Year award, takes beer education as a top priority, with a focus on home grown breweries and methodical growth. This makes it a great fit for Hardywood when considering potential northern Virginia partners. Hardywood co-founder Eric McKay states “we’re thrilled to partner with Brown’s team of talented, beer passionate professionals in northern Virginia,” noting that “Brown has kept us brewing at capacity since day one, and has fostered our growth with integrity and respect for our long term goals and our dedication to quality over quantity.”
Look for Hardywood Singel on tap and in 6-packs, as well as Hardywood’s current canned beer offerings, Cream Ale and The Great Return, at a limited number of restaurants and stores in Arlington and other select markets starting November 11. Reserve Series beers brewed with gourmet ingredients local to Richmond and Barrel Series beers matured in a variety of oak barrels, will be added to Brown’s NoVA portfolio as Hardywood’s capacity allows.
