From Pelican Pub & Brewery:
Ankle-Buster Ale – Available September 6
Belgian-Style Pale Ale
Ankle-Buster Ale With an herbal hop character, fruity/spicy Belgian yeast aromas, toasty and caramel-like malt flavor, Ankle-Buster carves its own path to refreshing, flavorful beer. Best enjoyed with both feet planted on sand. Limited availability in 22 oz bottles and draft this fall.
Pelican Elemental Ale – Available September 17 (dependent on harvest)
Fresh “Wet” Hop Ale
Brewed only once a year at peak hop season, last year this beer was made with 500 pounds of freshly picked, “wet” Sterling hops from Goschie Farms in Silverton, Oregon. The hops will be only 3 hours from the vine when they go into the kettle. The mash tun will also be used as a hop back, holding over 300 pounds of hops!! Elemental Ale features an emphatically floral, spicy, grassy aroma with a firm malt background and an assertive, snappy hop finish. Produced using one malt, one hop variety, one yeast and pure coastal water, this is truly an elemental beer.
