From Hangar 24:
It may not seem like it, but summer is just about over and fall is right around the corner. I'd like to run down our current and upcoming offerings for the season, and then tell you about the 3rd Annual Hangar 24 Oktoberfest & BeerFest, which startsthis Saturday, on Sept. 21st, and continues on the 28th at Sylvan Park in Redlands.
We just seeded the pumpkins last week for our sixth Local Fields release this year. Gourdgeous will be available on October 5th at the Brewery Tasting Room in 22oz bombers and on draught. Rich with notes of dark chocolate, pumpkin pie, and sweet caramel, it's the perfect pour for when the days get shorter. It will get distribution throughout California. Craft-centric spots and beverage chains should have it.
This past Saturday, Immelmann returned for the first time since it was introduced in 2010. A bourbon barrel-aged version of our Chocolate Porter, Barrel Roll #1 returns in limited quantities. It will be on draught and in 750ml bottles, perfect for cellaring. At the Brewery Tasting Room, it is $20 per bottle with a limit of 3 per person. A limited amount will be available at craft-centric bars and stores in Southern California, as well.
Our Fall Seasonal is now available in 4-packs of 12 oz. bottles and on draught, in wide distribution throughout California and Nevada. This amber lager is brewed in true Reinheitsgebot fashion using the finest imported German Malt, German Hops and German Yeast. It probably goes without saying that it will be available at our Oktoberfest event later this month.
Brad Nixon, the winner of our 2013 Homebrew Competition and the recipe creator of our 2013 Pro-Am, BOSS (Best of Show Schwarzbier), poured the first pint of his creation on September 7th to mark the release at the Brewery Tasting Room. Our Pro-Am entry into the GABF boasts rich aromas of roasted malt, coffee, and chocolate. Available in pints and for growler fills too. If you go to the BeerFest on September 28, we will be serving it at our festival booth.
