It’s September! Though it isn’t technically fall until the 22nd, it’s starting to feel that way around here. That’s because our famous Great Pumpkin Ale has arrived on tap and in bottles here at CBC! Look for it at your favorite Massachusetts, Connecticut or Vermont beer store soon.
And as many of you have come to know, the arrival of Great Pumpkin Ale means the Great Pumpkin Festival is just around the corner. This year’s event will be on Saturday, October 26th.
Now in its 6th year, the Great Pumpkin Festival has come to be the end all and be all of CBC events. This massive event features pumpkin beers from all over the US, Pumpkin-inspired and Oktoberfest-style food, and costumes of all sorts. Over the years we’ve heard a lot of great things about this festival, but one thing that everyone seems to agree on is that the line is “Too Damn Long!” Well, we agree and this year we’re changing things a little.
To alleviate the lines this year, we’ve made this a ticketed event with all tickets being presold online. There will be 3 different sessions to choose from. Ticket sales will begin one week from today at noon… what better day than Friday the 13th to start selling tickets to the Great Pumpkin Festival, right?! I’ll send you the direct link as soon as it goes live.
Though the official beer and brewery lists are not yet available, I can tell you that we’ll be serving favorites like our Great Pumpkin Ale, Stout at the Devil and Valley Ghoul. Plus, we’ll have a couple new beers like the 100% Brett Fermented, Barrel Aged Pumpkin beer! And breweries such as Iron Hill Brewery, Elysian Brewing Co. and Avery Brewing will be sending us some of their gourded ales again.
As always costumes are highly encouraged and admission includes the Limited Edition Great Pumpkin Festival Pint Glass. Beer and food tickets will be sold 4 for $5. The Pumpkin Processional with the Giant, beer-filled pumpkin and CBC monks will be held during session 3 only.
