BOULDER, CO - Avery Brewing Company wants you to join them on the second day of the GABF for the “Barrel-Aged Bike Ride,” a day of bicycle touring and beer-tasting at five of Denver’s premier beer bars.
The ride will start off at the Falling Rock Tap House at 11am Friday October 11th, followed by stops at Lucky Pie Pizza & Tap House, Euclid Hall Bar & Kitchen, Highland Tap and Burger and a grand finale at Star Bar. At each stop riders will receive a four-ounce pour of a rare Avery barrel-aged beer, a six-ounce pour of a palate cleansing beer and a playing card. The riders with the three best poker hands at the end of the day win prizes. This is a follow up to last year’s “Pucker Up Poker Run.” Bicycles as well as responsible drinking required.
Who: Avery Brewing Company, Falling Rock Tap House, Highland Tap & Burger, Euclid Hall, Lucky Pie and Star Bar.
What: Team Avery leads everyone on a bicycle bar crawl to five of Denver’s premier pubs! At each stop, you will get a 4oz. pour of a rare, barrel-aged beers, an 8oz. pour of a palate cleansing beer, and a playing card. Top three hands at the end of the crawl will win prizes. BICYCLES ARE REQUIRED (you can rent them from shops or from Denver Bcycle).
Featured beers: Rumpkin, Momi Hiwa, Ross’s’s’ Melange, Uncle Jacob’s Stout and Thensaurum (plus palate cleansers at each stop).
When: Friday October 12th 11am-5pm (ish)- starts at Falling Rock and ends at Star Bar.
Where: Start at Falling Rock Tap House at 11am, and split up into groups to visit Lucky Pie Pizza & Tap House, Highland Tap and Burger, Euclid Hall, and finish at Star Bar.
