CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Aug. 29, 2013/mbb/) - Wild Rose Brewery, Alberta's local craft brewer, will celebrate the launch of their latest seasonal - Wild Rose White Shadow, a White India Pale Ale, on August 29, 2013.
White Shadow refers to the unique magic that happens when we combine two great styles - the refreshing spiciness of a Belgian style wheat beer with the bold hoppiness of a North American IPA.
Our White IPA is brewed with Pilsner malt, wheat malt and oats, spiced with sweet orange peel, coriander and chamomile. A serious charge of Cascade and Columbus hops give the beer a nice citrusy bitterness.
A Belgian yeast strain is left unfiltered to lend notes of clove and bitter fruit to the flavour and shadow to the golden hue. Because wild things can happen in the shadows.
Crafted in limited quantities, Wild Rose White Shadow (White India Pale Ale) will be available in 650ml bottles at select liquor stores in Alberta, and on tap at a number of select locations in Calgary and Edmonton in addition to the Wild Rose Brewery & Taproom.
To celebrate the launch of this new brew, we have created a unique cask conditioned batch of White IPA. With Orange Peel, Coriander and Wakatu Hops, this cask promises a more intense experience of the White Shadow's flavour profile. It will be tapped on Friday, August 30 at 4pm MST at the Wild Rose Brewery & Taproom.
