From Sixpoint:
In brewing news, we've released Mad Scientists Series #15, the Bel-Jam, a fiery Brooklyn collaboration with The Jam Stand. The brew is a Belgian style ale with a raspberry-jalapeño jam infusion and 84 lbs of raspberries, from Red Jacket Orchards in Upstate New York, added during fermentation. Nuanced Belgian flavors coalesce with spicy jalapeño and sweet raspberry, and dry heat carries through the long, tart finish. Another Mad Scientists’ original.
The wet-hop for this year’s Autumnation has also been announced, and hop-heads eagerly await its release. Mosaic, this year’s winner, is one of the newest commercially available hops, and it has beer lovers buzzing about its tremendous flavor potential. Big, lush notes of mango, tangerine and blueberry will provide a potent blast to our seasonal wet-hop IPA. As it rounds out with soft notes of rose and earthy sweetness you’ll be struck by the depth, complexity and raw force of Mosaic’s flavor capabilities.
And it’s finally only a couple weeks away. Look out for Autumnation in Mid-September.
