From Newburyport Brewing:

Newburyport Brewing Co…Massachusetts’ only all-can and keg craft brewery, today announces the 1635 Series™ of original limited edition small batch craft beers. The 1635 Series will showcase all types of beers inspired by the creativity of our brewmaster as well as favorite recipes from our brewery team. It will feature traditional ales, barrel aged beers, sour beers, and one-off collaborations. Each beer in the series will be available at the Newburyport Brewing Company tasting room as well as select bars and restaurants.

Joppa Stout is the first release in the 1635 Series. An Irish dry stout brewed with premium quality roasted malts, this dark ale features a smooth, bittersweet taste complemented by a slightly dry, chocolate finish. Light carbonation, medium body, and 4.5% ABV makes this a truly delicious, sessionable stout.

“We are very excited to kick off the 1635 Series with the Joppa Stout. From the very start, our mission has been to brew high quality craft beers using premium natural ingredients. We will continue that dedication to quality and innovation with the 1635 Series,” said Chris Webb, Co-founder and CEO. ”Newburyport Brewing captures the essence of our brewery’s location with our brand. Newburyport was settled in 1635 and is a beautiful, historic seaport at the mouth of the Merrimack River in Massachusetts.”
