From Anderson Valley Brewing:
Boonville, CA (August 13th, 2013/mbb/) For the first time, Anderson Valley Brewing Company announced today the release of a pumpkin spiced ale as part of its rotating lineup of seasonal beers. Shipments of both twelve-ounce cans and bottles began making their way to selected wholesalers across the nation in late July. In addition, draft will be available on a limited basis in those select markets.
Brewmaster Fal Allen says that Fall Hornin’ is “pleasantly creamy with a silky body, boasting a brilliantly dark copper hue and aromas of caramelized malt, baking bread, and seasonal spices such as cinnamon, nutmeg and pumpkin. It has a nice, sweet caramel flavor to balance the tang of the spices with a hint of hops, all wrapped in a smooth, round finish.”
This year’s limited production run of just over 1,000 barrels of Fall Hornin’ was oversubscribed quickly and all available cases have been allocated. Fall Hornin’ will be available in the trade from early-August through mid-September, making it the perfect complementary offering to the brewery’s seasonal portfolio which includes the highly popular Summer and Winter Solstice®.
