DENVER & MONTREAL--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Molson Coors Brewing Company (NYSE: TAP; TSX) today announced that Vicky Cookson, former human resources director of Vodafone, will join the company as Chief People Officer for Molson Coors Europe, based in Prague, Czech Republic, effective September 1st.

Cookson will report directly to the global chief legal and people officer, Sam Walker and join the European leadership team, led by Mark Hunter. Cookson brings a rich human resources background and years of international and cross cultural experience to her new role at Molson Coors Europe, which has over 6,000 employees and operations in the UK, Ireland, Czech Republic, Hungary, Bulgaria, Romania, Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Slovakia. She also has specialist experience in talent management, leadership development and change management.

Cookson spent the last 13 years of her career at Vodafone, most recently as the human resources director for the company’s Romanian business, where she led a team of 70 human resources and property professionals in the development and implementation of the people strategy across almost 4,000 employees. Prior to this, she was the interim HR director for Vodafone Hungary. She also led learning and development programs across the Vodafone Group and the UK, as well as leading internal communications for the UK business. Prior to joining Vodafone, Vicky worked in a variety of different human resources roles at companies including Camelot, Fujitsu, TXU Energy and Ionica PLC.
In January 2013, Molson Coors formed the Molson Coors Europe business segment by combining its existing businesses in the UK and Ireland with its acquired business in nine Central European countries.
